IPad Apps in Music Class

Hello parents and guardians of students at Rolling Acres and Alloway Creek.

Many of you have been asking about the applications that we use in music class on our school iPad's so you can download them at home. Here are a list of the ones we use most often. I would love to have students downloading these at home and practicing their musical skills.

Tune Train- a Kindergarten and First Grade App where students compose their own songs. Click here for the link.

Rhythm Swing- this app is not free, but is amazing. Students battle a crocodile that tries to eat their monkey as they perform rhythms. Click here for the link.

NoteWorks- a great app to teach students about naming notes. I believe there is a free and purchase version availiable. Click here for the link.

Rhythm Cat- A great way to learn Rhythms. Click here to download.

Treble Cat- An app similar to Rhythm Cat, but with the treble clef notes. A great practice application for reading notes. Please click here.

Since we have IPads in the music classroom, I have only included links to the Apple Store for these applications. However, many or all of them may be available at Google Play. Here are a few of those apps that I could find- Treble Cat, Rhythm Cat, NoteWorks. There may be more musical applications on Google Play, but these are the ones I was able to locate.
As always, contact me if you have any questions.  Thanks, Mr. Krape
